IZA Calzado admitted that there is a possibility that she will tie the knot next year but admitted she is still not engage to her boyfriend.
During her guest appearance in "Magandang Buhay" on Friday, May 5, the actress was quizzed by television host Boy Abunda on a rumored April 28, 2018 wedding, an auspicious date based on the Hindu calendar.
Calzado insisted that she is not engaged to boyfriend Ben Wintle, but there is truth to reports that the said date was already blocked off in Fr. Tito Caluag's calendar.
She explained that her talent manager Noel Ferrer and some close friends, including Judy Ann Santos, took it upon themselves to reserve that day for a wedding.
"Ang dami kasing nagtatanong kung kami raw ba 'yun. Pinangunahan naman kami. Ni-reserve nila pero hindi pa kami engaged," she said.
IN FAIRNESS TO RYAN, HE CAME PREPARED WITH A WEDDING BOUQUET which he gave Juday. At the end of the Mass/Ceremony, traditionally, the bouquet is to be thrown away and is caught by the next one who'll get married. NO NEED THIS TIME. Because this morning, the APRIL 28, 2018 date has been reserved for a couple in our "extended family circle" --- guess who? a) KC CONCEPCION & ALY BORROMEO, b) IZA CALZADO & BEN WINTLE, or c) SARAH GERONIMO & MATTEO GUIDICELLI? --- Fr. @titocaluag has already saved it in his calendar. UNTIL THE NEXT AUSPICIOUS WEDDING DATE. SEE YOU ALL! #friendsfamily #LifePeg #ryanjuday8th #Forever
The "A Love To Last" star explained that April 28 is believed to be an auspicious date to tie the knot.
Santos and husband Ryan Agoncillo were married on the same day just like celebrity couples Lucy Torres and Richard Gomez and Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.
"The intent of the group, not just Noel, Juday, we have a chat group. Sabi nila auspicious yung date, sino ang isusunod natin? Sabi mismo ni Juday, 'Aba dapat si Iza at si Ben.' Tapos ni-reserve na nila," she said.
Calzado added that Wintle doesn't have any idea about this but they already talked about settling down.
She said the engagement is going to happen.
"Actually, kasalanan ko rin yata kasi dati (sabi ko), 'I don't want to get married yet, I don't want to get married yet.' Dumarating pala talaga yung point na, 'ay pwede na akong magpakasal".
The TV star added that she has matured enough to move to the next level of their relationship.
"Dumating na ako sa point na mas mature na ako at alam kong lahat ng fears ko ay nasa utak ko lang. You also manifest things. If you think of it positively, good things will happen."
Calzado and Wintle are dating for five years now. (SunStar Philippines)
