DAVAO. The Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) opens its debut game with a 3-1 win over Surallah Football Club in the Mindanao Peace Games-organized Mindanao Football Invitational at the ADDU field in Matina, Davao City. (Bai Siang Lim)

THE Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) leaned on its home court advantage to win their debut game against Surallah Football Club (FC) of Region 3-1, in the Mindanao Peace Games (MPG) at the AdDU field in Matina, Davao City Monday afternoon.

The AdDU, coached by Ewee De Leon, answered Surallah Football Club striker Ryan Gavino's goal in the 13th minute.

Rafaele Angelo Pascual, Bryle Cuenca and Jasper Lim netted three consecutive goals for Ateneo.

Father Saturnino Urios University, meanwhile, blanked down Iligan Medical Center College (IMCC) of Northern Mindanao, 11-0, behind the heroics of Venz Alexis Morgadez, who led the charge with seven goals.

The 9-A-Side tournament is organized Mindanao Football Invitational and sponsored by One Meralco Foundation and Mizuno. (ABM)
