Woman sued for theft in Davao

Friday, May 05, 2017

A WOMAN is facing charges before the court for stealing grocery items in a mall in Barangay 40-D, Quimpo Boulevard in Davao City last month.

Charged with theft is Hadzmina Aguilar. She was earlier arrested outside the supermarket of the Felcris Centrale in Quimpo Boulevard.

In a resolution, prosecutor Joseph Mamburam found a probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by the mall.

The incident happened around 11:15 a.m., Saturday, April 22, while the accused was looking around the supermarket.

Mall security guard Merigin Austria saw the accused took one Juicy Cologne worth P46.10, one Vicks Vaporub worth P80.70, and two sachets of Licealiz Soothing Coolness worth P11.10.

According to Austria, the accused placed the items she took from the display shelves in her bag. The accused then exited from the supermarket without proof that she paid the items.

Mamburam said it would appear that the accused might have committed the crime. He added that the accused is held liable to the charges filed against her.
