Construction worker shot in Dalaguete, Cebu

A 19-YEAR-OLD construction worker was shot dead by an unidentified assailant around 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Barangay Coro, Dalaguete, southern Cebu.

Police identified the victim as Nhecargie Ambrad Romero, who succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

Investigation showed Romero was driving his motorcycle with a friend as his passenger.

They came from the fiesta celebration in Barangay Banhigan, Dalaguete.

Upon reaching the construction site, Romero's friend disembarked and he parked the motorcycle.

The suspect, who wore mask, arrived on a motorcycle. He talked with Romero, alighted from his vehicle, pulled out his gun, and shot the victim several times.

The gunman fled afterwards.

Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of .45 pistol, and a slug. (SunStar Cebu)
