Rose slams Perry’s song

Sunday, May 21, 2017

“A tiger don’t lose no sleep. Don’t need opinions from a shellfish or a sheep. Don’t you come for me. No, not today,” Katy Perry sings in her new song Swish Swish featuring Nicki Minaj.

People can tell it’s about Taylor Swift, which is probably why one of Swift’s squad members, Ruby Rose, immediately took to Twitter to call out Perry—at least, indirectly.

“'Purposeful poop’ to ‘bomb a petit’ to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda… Stop trying to make ‘Wit’ ...I mean ‘fetch’ happen,” tweeted Rose after Swish Swish was released.

How could people tell she was targeting Perry? For starters, Perry called her song Chained to the Rhythm “purposeful pop” while her second song released this year is called Bon Apetit.

Perry was a guest on the Tonight Show where host Jimmy Fallon asked her if Swish Swish is about anyone he knows.

“I think it’s a great anthem for people to use whenever someone’s trying to hold you down or bully you,” said Perry.

“I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low... is... a bummer,” Rose also tweeted.

Perry was one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest celebrity supporters during the US presidential elections.
