SILAY City’s candidate was awarded Miss SunStar Bacolod Readers’ Choice during the Corporate Awards Night of Lin-ay sang Negros 2017 held at the Atrium of SM City Bacolod Monday night.

Filipino-French Elodie Langlet, 18, of Barangay Balaring, bested 23 other candidates by garnering the highest accumulated scores from both coupon and Facebook votes.

Langlet, an incoming Grade 12 student of the University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod City, was also awarded as Miss Grab.

“I feel happy and it’s a great honor to be chosen Miss SunStar Bacolod, which is my first award in the entire pre-pageant competition," the Silay bet said, adding that "everybody has the chance to win but I will do my best to bring home the crown for my city."

Garnering the most number of corporate awards were Lin-ay sang Bago and Lin-ay sang Murcia, with three each.

Bago City bet Angelica Esther Portugaleza, 20, bagged awards as Miss 2Go Travel, Miss Transcom Worldwide Inc., and Miss Pepsi.

Lin-ay sang Murcia Ma. Paula Gibraltar, 16, was named Miss Supercat, Miss Virginia Food Inc., and Miss Petron.

She was also awarded Lin-ay nga Maabilidad during the Skills Competition at Robinsons Place Bacolod on April 17.

Like Silay, Lin-ay sang Himamaylan also received two corporate awards.
